What Does Axial Fan Do?

What Does Axial Fan Do?
Axial fans date back to the horizontally structured windmills of Europe in the Middle Ages. The first electrically driven fans introduced in the 1880s were axial fans. Axial fans are named according to the direction of the air flow they create. The blades rotating around an axis pull the air parallel to that axis and force the air out in the same direction. Axial fans create airflow with a high flow rate, that is, they create a large volume of airflow. But the airflows they create are of low pressure. They require low power input to operate.
Centrifugal Fans
The centrifugal fan was invented in 1832 by the Imperial Russian Army military engineer, Lieutenant General Alexander Sablukov of the Russian Empire. Centrifugal fans, often referred to as blowers, differ from axial fans. The pressure of the incoming air stream is increased by a fan wheel consisting of a series of blades mounted on a circular hub. Centrifugal fans move the air radially - the direction of the outflowing air is usually changed by 90° from the incoming air direction.
The air flow created by centrifugal fans is directed through a system of ducts or tubes. This helps create higher pressure airflow than axial fans. Despite a lower flow rate, centrifugal fans create a more constant airflow than axial fans. Centrifugal fans also require a higher power input.
Axial Fan Applications

axial
Axial fans are best suited for general purpose applications because of the low pressure high volume airflows they create. For example, they excel at moving air from a place, cooling confined spaces such as computers, and cooling large spaces such as work areas.

A standard AC model is energy efficient, using up to 100 watts at high speed. It can be directly connected to a DC power source such as AC fans, solar panels or batteries. An AC fan is a pretty obvious choice, as the end goal in units like vending machines is an even flow of cooling power. Currently, vending and beverage industry leaders are trying to get the next generation excited about their services. As we grow to depend on new, popular audience technologies, the industry is finding new and exciting ways to get their attention.
